In the City has thrown up various bands that everyone is raving about – one that seems to be the centre of any imaginary Venn diagram are Is Tropical. Having already featured on Pinglewood (and, therefore, NME.com), it’s easy to see why they’re kicking up such a storm.
The track that features on the Pinglewood article does very little to showcase the band’s best features at all. They’ve done some work with Will from the mystery jets, which does a little bit to illustrate their glorious tropical sound. They make laid-back 80′s-esque DIY pop music, dress in masks, and apparently put on an excellent show. Definitely ones to watch, expect much bigger things from these three.
