Mixtapes Swapped.

2009 is nearly over, but the mixtape swap has beaten it to the punch. At 10 AM this morning, the doors slammed shut and all the mixtapes were put into an imaginary little bag and redistributed. In the end, two mixtapes or each entrant was decided upon, just in case there were any entrants who decided that it was okay to do a coldplay-exclusive mix or anything. But yeah, thanks to all those who entered, you’ve made me feel like I’ve done something worthwhile and hopefully given the gift of a new favourite band to some lucky soul. If you’d like to chat about it, then there’s the comment section below.

Thanks for mine – I got the Polaroid Pancakes #SummerMixtape and one called pigeon post mixtape 2.

Both are excellent, had a flick through and having a proper listen now.

I got Nothing Taken From My Hands, which has my friend’s band on it! A nice little mix. I’m having trouble downloading the Odds In Favour one, but I guess one good mix is enough for one morning!

I got the “Pigeon Post Mixtape 2″ and “Medicine For Melancholy. A 2009 Mixtape.”.

Both are sooo good! “Medicine For Melancholy” has a cover and everything necessary included. Whoever made this, it’s excellent! Thanks!

‘Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall’ is lovely, so is ‘Nerdifiying Music’, whomever put it/them together.

I did the Odds in My Favor mix if anyone has any issues with it.

I’ve spent the day with Polaroid Pancakes #SummerMixtape on, and it is awesome. None of the bands on it I had anything by in my collection, which was really great.

Time to dust off the credit card methinks.

first of all thanks for sharing and putting so much thought in selecting the tracks. i like your mix for its homogenity, but there are too many guitars for my ear..
favorite tracks: errors – pump and worriedaboutsatan – you’re in my thoughts.

Enjoying strolling through other people’s record collections via Mallard Mixtape (it has a cover and sleeve notes too!) and Too Oh Oh Nein – both excellent, thank you.

Especially pleased with the introduction to Cliff Martinez and Obits (MM) and Nisennenmondai (TOON).

I forgot all about it! I saw it when you first posted it, and immeditaely thought that it was a wonderful idea and decided that I would do it once I had some free time. Then, I completely forgot about it and with the holidays and new years my mind was elsewhere, and now I’m stuck sad that I didn’t enter. Any chance of another one coming up? Or perhaps entering late?
