FOUR TET – ANGEL ECHOES (CARIBOU REMIX)
Between the two of them, Kieran Hebden and Daniel Snaith have done more than enough to influence modern electronic music and retire happily to their respective homes. Unfortunately, being a musician is shit pay at the minute, so luckily for us they’re still making music – and on this track, Snaith 9under his caribou moniker) has messed up one of Hebden’s (Four Tet) tracks to brilliant effect.
JOHNNY FOREIGNER – WITH WHO, WHO AND WHAT I’VE GOT
Recently, it’s become apparent that Johnny Foreigner are not everyone’s cup of tea. But then again, not everyone has heard their glorious debut EP, the one tyhat earned them a 10 out of 10 on Drowned in Sound and countless ties to brilliant summer memories. Their star has certainly dimmed since then, but it looks like they’re on the road to recording a third album, which will hopefully restore former glories to the excellent trio.

DELPHIC – THIS MOMENTARY (PARALLELS REMIX)
Manchester’s most exciting new band have given up single ‘This Momentary’ into the arms of Parallels, the project of former Crystal castles drummer Cameron Findlay and Holly Dodson. Stripping away the English reserve and revealing a cacophony of noise, this is euphoric brilliance.
LCD SOUNDSYSTEM – HOME (GHOUL REMIX)
Reunion tours are soul crushing for all involved – the band are desperate for money, the punters are only doing it out of duty and the results are always, without exception, terrible. So, James Murphy, let’s not let that happen with LCD Soundsytem in 2015 by just powering on through the statements you’ve made about this being your last effort as LCD and just continue being the oldest hipster in town forever, agreed?

SOMEONE STILL LOVES YOU, BORIS YELTSIN – SINK, LET IT SWAY
They’ve been going for 11 years, and now they’ve got a new record out. Still the best named band about after all this time – probably due to the innate fear that Vladimir Putin put in each and every one of us.

BEACH HOUSE – NORWAY
Not new in the slightest – this was first posted last year – but following from their amazing performance at Dot to Dot Manchester yesterday, well worth a repost. If you’ve not heard Teen Dream yet, put it top of your to do list now.
BEKO DSL – CHIEF BLACK CLOUD/GAPE ATTACK!
Another week, another set of ace new releases.

CORKS! That Four Tet/Caribou remix is a bit special. Thanks for that…
Oh, and I never liked Johnny Foreigner, so can I claim to be ahead of the curve for once?
Hasta luego amigo
I love Jofo? I never even knew they were disliked? Meh.
