A good pun will get you everywhere, and if you’re not already enticed by the name Mozam Beaks then there’s no hope left for you. Whilst their word play might be witty, the tunes available on bandcamp are a lot less punchy – two efforts coming in at a combined total of almost 12 minutes, they creep and crawl all the way to the finish. This is the kind of stuff that originally made people fall in love with Ducktails before he became obsessed with killing the vibe, the essence of his track ‘landrunner’ rolled flat. It feels like the soundtrack to a long, hot day: beads of sweat rolling down your forehead, prickly heat stinging your neck, time rolling out before you eternal.
