It’s been a while since the last post about glitch pop sweethearts Golau Glau. Though the band’s identity might still be a mystery wrapped in an engima smothering a riddle, it’s nice to see that they’re still banging out great songs with alarming frequency. this time, though, they’ve gone down the covers route. The great thing is, though, that they’ve applied the same great, dreamlike qualities of their music to Jim Croce’s ‘Time in a Bottle’.
If you’ve not heard Golau Glau before, then you’ve been missing out. Their music listens like the sane conclusion of experimental work done by forerunners like The Knife, utilising the glitchy sampling of Crystal Castles whilst still managing to sound sugary sweet at the same time. The fact that they make a variety of great songs doesn’t stop them from being pretty greta people too – all their music to date is available for free from various websites including last.fm, including their debut single.
