Following a 2009 that has seen the band play all over the U.S. and tour with bands like and Bombay Bicycle Club, as well as a hand-picked support slot with Manic Street Preachers, the band are returning the Manchester for a homecoming gig on the 26th of this month. Following the release of ‘Another City, Another Sorry’ earlier in the year, the band have received hype all over the place and it’d be fair to say that this is likely only the start of an excellent career, or at least we can hope.
As if that wasn’t enough, support comes from The Crookes, a band who’ve already had their debut single sell out on Too Pure, as well as the previously blogged about Post War Years. Hot on the heels of playing in Dubai, the band are back in Manchester and, in honour of this, This Answering Machine have remixed their track ‘Soul Owl’. Club Academy will be playing host to this trio of brilliant bands, and Same Teens will be offering their DJ skills too. £7 in – don’t miss it.
